Over to the left is the June 14, 1973 article claiming Raley's has just purchased the Eagle Thrifty stores in Nevada. Above you will notice that Charles Collings and James Teel are involved in an amendment to Raley's articles of incorporation which was done on June 8, signed on June 19, and filed on June 20, 1973. Are they issuing additional stock in the Raley's company? Now if Tom Raley told others that he didn't know a Charles Nordby (Mr. Nordby was hired right about this same time to implement his program), did Mr. Raley have any knowledge of the Eagle Thrifty stores being purchased in Nevada? Below, are easier to read pages from Collings' and Teel's articles of incorporation amendment from above.
In this newspaper article, over to the left, it states that Tom Raley announced that James Teel would also direct operations of the Nevada stores. In fact, Teel ended up with a higher position than Collings in the Eagle Thrifty Corporation....wow, this must have made Collings angry...Did ConMan Collings put out this press release?
Below are the same articles of incorporation from above. The color has been reversed to make it easier to read.
