Listen to Mr. Cole tell his story about Floyd Mullin. And then read the article below (provided by Mr. Cole).

What is true or false about this newpaper article and the story that Glen Cole shared publicly:
1: Mr. Cole said the newspaper article about Floyd Mullin was titled "He that liveth by the grab shall tripeth on the cloth: Very true.
2: The story happened on a Monday night. Very true.
3: Mr. Cole and a Church friend of his heard a woman scream. Very true.
4: The woman had just left the Church. Very true.
5. Mr. Cole went out the side door and told his friend to go out the front door. Can't verify that statement. It appears to be exaggerated.
6: Mr. Cole states he saw his friend with the woman. Doesn't appear true because it states in the article that the woman ran to meet them together.
7: Mr. Cole states that woman was bleeding from her nose. Can't verify that statement.
8: She told them a man had snatched her purse and had gone down Olympia Avenue. First part is true, second part about Mr. Cole seeing a man running down the street doesn't appear to be true. Mr. Hall after peering down the street appears to have seen a figure ducking in the bushes. There doesn't appear to be any indication that the figure who had ducked into a bush, seen by Mr. Hall, had a purse in his hand.
9: Glen Cole stated that he started running after the purse snatcher while his friend followed behind. He kept running and running after Mr. Mullin until Mr. Mullin realized that Mr. Cole was closing the gap on him so he ducked into some bushes. Based on the article above Mr. Hall went to investigate the "figure" who ducked into the bushes and was followed by Mr. Cole. It doesn't appear that any running took place at all in the apprehension of Mr. Mullin. Mr. Mullin was a "figure" seen ducking into some bushes by Mr. Hall. Mr. Hall went to investigate the person who ducked into the bushes and Mr. Cole followed behind.
10: Mr. Cole claims Mr. Hall hit Mr. Mullin a couple of times and blood was spurting out everywhere. Nothing in the article would indicate this is true.
Based on what you have heard Mr. Cole state on the audio and what you have read in the actual article about this incidence, did Mr. Cole fabricate anything about this story? Do you think Mr. Cole portrayed a historical experience in his life accurately?
Mr. Cole was only able to provide one of the articles that he claimed existed pertaining to his story. The other newspaper article published about this case, Mr. Cole claims happened a number of weeks later, and he would have to go to the Daily Olympian archives to dig it out and claims it is not possible right now. Where did Mr. Cole obtain the first article published on March 10, 1970? Was it from a recent archival search? And if it was from a recent archival search, why wasn't the second newspaper article retrived while retriving the first. It wouldn't have been that much trouble. I guess it would be fair to say that "only God knows" whether or not the second article exists!
The good news is that Mr. Cole was able to provide a copy of "one" of the newspaper articles pertaining to Mr. Mullins. I believe the bad news is that the facts in the article do not reflect the facts stated by Mr. Cole 28 years later. How much additional information about purse snatcher Floyd Mullin mentioned in Mr. Cole's audio is accurate?
Is Mr. Cole a man of his word? You be the judge.
One additional note: Mr. Cole in his letter stated that he didn't have a copy of the second Daily Olypian newspaper article about him and Floyd Mullin. He stated that article would have been published a number of weeks later. Based on Mr. Cole's audio, Mr. Floyd was being released from jail and attending Mr. Cole's church every Sunday for three (3) months and then after all of that the second newspaper article appeared. Three months = 12 weeks.
Chuck Collings and Raley's wrote a history book about the facts of their success in 1989. They too decided that there was nothing wrong to change the facts to the history of their company to make themselves all look like the heros that they really weren't.
Below is an article about another person who changed the facts to stories in their past.

Below represents a story about a woman, whom at first, didn't really care if the man above fabricated his story

In Sacramento, the news media, Church leaders, or even the people don't care if others fabricate their stories. I guess they too believe that lying is "irrelevant."
